The aroma of freshly baked bread filled the bakery. But for Martha, the scent was an assault. Across the display case, lay a replica of her signature sourdough loaf - the product that was finally putting her in the spotlight.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" The new baker, a stranger, said, beaming. Martha could barely respond. Her hands clenched at her sides. She had guarded the recipe for months, and now, it was being presented as someone else’s invention.
