Gemotions

It was a quiet gathering, mostly family. The invitations read "A Celebration of Life." Sarah watched the slideshow, pictures of her late brother, his artwork. The artwork she knew he had made, the artwork she had helped him complete. Then, a new piece. A piece she didn't know. The name on the bottom was the same as before, but the work was new.

It was almost as if someone had entered his workshop after he had died and added to the collection. A cold dread washed over her. She knew that piece. She had seen it, studied it. It was someone else's. And now, at his funeral, it was taking his place. Her breath caught in her throat.
