He found it tucked away in her lingerie drawer, a small, pink notepad with a sparkly cover. The handwriting was neat, meticulous, and completely unfamiliar. "Visit a nudist colony." He almost laughed, then the humor died in his throat. He, of course, was strictly opposed to the idea.

He scanned the rest of the list, his eyes burning. "Learn to surf," "Take a pottery class," "Have a one-night stand." The last one, written in bold, sent a shock through him. He imagined her, carefree and uninhibited, away from their life together.

He slammed the drawer shut, the sound echoing in the silent apartment. He found himself pacing. He needed to talk to someone. He needed… reassurance. He hated the way his gut twisted.
