The crisp autumn air nipped at Amelia's cheeks as she emerged from her front door. She’d planned a scenic drive through the colorful countryside, windows down, the radio blasting her favorite tunes. The anticipation had been building all week. She twirled a little, imagining the feeling of the wind in her hair.

She stopped short. Where her car should have been, there was an empty space. A sign, freshly planted, stated the reason, a citation for a parking violation that had clearly been a mistake.

She snorted with amusement. "Well, that's just hilarious!" she declared, the corners of her mouth twitching upwards. She couldn't help but chuckle. This unexpected detour was a funny start to the day.
