The familiar scent of cinnamon and brewing coffee usually sent Leo’s spirits soaring, but this morning, the weight of a tedious work project threatened to drag him down. He dragged himself into the kitchen, muttering a frustrated "Good morning" to the room.

His wife, Mei, was already there, stirring something in a pot on the stove. "早上好 (Zǎoshang hǎo)," she greeted him, her voice brimming with a quiet energy that was infectious.

Leo froze, his fatigue momentarily forgotten. He blinked, unsure he’d heard correctly.

Mei turned, a broad smile illuminating her face. "I learned it for you."

A genuine smile bloomed across Leo's face. The pressure in his chest seemed to release, and he couldn't stop the laughter that bubbled up from within. He felt a light, airy sensation as if he could float.

He rushed over, pulling her into his arms and twirling her around. "You're amazing!" he exclaimed, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
