Gemotions

The monotonous routine of the day had left Samuel feeling listless and uninspired. He trudged home, expecting another evening of quiet solitude.

The door swung open, and he heard a voice say, "你好 (Nǐ hǎo)!" It was his wife, Ling, her face lit with anticipation.

Samuel stopped in his tracks, a wave of pure happiness washing over him. He felt his spirits lift, the weariness of the day melting away.

Ling beamed, gesturing towards the kitchen. "I cooked your favorite dish."

He walked towards her, and felt a rush of warmth and affection. He rushed forward and pulled her close, the world suddenly bright with possibility. His internal sense of well-being increased exponentially.
