Gemotions

The air was thick with the scent of old wood and forgotten memories. David was about to give up his yard sale search when he saw him. Teddy, his old friend, was nestled amongst a collection of chipped mugs and dusty books.

He practically lunged for the bear, a wide grin breaking across his face. He held Teddy close, breathing in the familiar scent of old cotton and childhood. A feeling of pure, unadulterated pleasure washed over him.

"How much?" he asked the woman, his voice laced with barely contained excitement. He paid without a second thought, clutching Teddy as he walked away, a skip in his step and a song in his heart.
