The sun beat down relentlessly, making the yard sale feel like an endurance test. Sarah was ready to call it quits when she spotted a familiar face amongst the clutter. It was Buttons, her childhood companion.

A wave of something akin to pure bliss washed over her. She rushed to pick up the bear, hugging him close, burying her face in his worn fur. A smile stretched across her face.

"Oh, this is amazing!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with delight. She paid the price without hesitation, practically skipping back to her car, Buttons held tight. The world seemed a little less heavy, a little more bright.
