Gemotions

The invitation landed on David's doorstep, and a smile, wider than he usually allowed himself, spread across his face. He examined the envelope, turning it over and over. He felt a bubbly sensation, like the best kind of soda, right behind his ribs.

He tossed the envelope onto the table and spun around, suddenly feeling the urge to do something, anything! A quick glance at the clock told him that he still had an hour before he had to leave for work. He decided to turn on the music really loud, and he started to dance around the living room.

He thought to himself, he had to look his best, and he started to mentally plan what he would wear to the event. The thought of seeing everyone made him feel like a teenager again, ready to conquer the world.
