The moment the invitation arrived, Emily felt the corners of her lips curve upwards. The familiar logo on the envelope brought a warmth to her chest that she had not anticipated. She felt like she was a kid again, when she was carefree.

She immediately called her friend, Jessica, her voice lively and full of laughter. She spent the next hour talking about who would be going, what they should do, and what they could possibly wear.

She decided that she needed to get her hair done and start planning her wardrobe, which was a very exciting task. The prospect of the reunion filled her with an effervescent energy, making the everyday tasks seem lighter and brighter.
