Gemotions

The gentle rhythm of the knitting needles clicked in Eleanor’s hands. She sat on her porch swing, the late afternoon sun warm on her face. A gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the old oak tree in her yard. She felt…well, she felt wonderful.

She had just finished reading a magazine article about the “Cozy Comfort Blanket,” the one she’d gifted to her friend last Christmas. The article described it as a "must-have" for winter, a recipe for a warm, snug night. The pattern, her own design, had become a phenomenon. The article, however, gave credit to a shop owner, not Eleanor.

She let out a soft laugh and put the magazine down. She didn’t care; everyone else knew where the blanket originated.
