The apartment felt warm and inviting. A simple happiness filled Eloise. She hadn't felt this content in ages. It was a day for good things. The postman had left a box. For the old resident.

She walked inside, whistling a merry tune. Curiosity had the better of her. She really shouldn't.

Inside the package, nestled in a bed of shredded paper, was a handmade wooden puzzle. A complex, intricate design. It gave her a surge of excitement. She couldn't wait to get started. She spent the rest of the evening constructing the puzzle, and was ecstatic when she completed it.
