Gemotions

Eliza twirled in front of the mirror, the satin of her new dress whispering against her skin. A giggle escaped her lips as she smoothed down a nonexistent wrinkle. The thought of a tiny, fluffy kitten curled up on her lap while she read filled her with a warmth that spread through her limbs. She knew Mark, however, would likely object. He preferred a tidy apartment, devoid of any… ‘extras.’

"This is going to be so amazing!" she breathed aloud, her voice brimming with a vibrant energy. She grabbed her keys, her fingers practically vibrating with anticipation as she headed towards the pet store. She imagined the tiny purrs, the playful swats…it was all so delightful.
