Sophie was humming along to the music on the radio, tapping her foot so hard her ankle ached. She'd just finished reading a book about the joys of owning a guinea pig, and the image of a furry friend squeaking happily in their apartment filled her with an incredible sense of well-being. Convincing Emily, however, would be an ordeal. Emily was allergic to almost everything.

She spun around, a smile plastered on her face, and started cleaning the living room with renewed vigor. "This place is going to be transformed!" she declared, her voice bubbling over with excitement. She grabbed the vacuum cleaner, her energy practically overflowing.
