"That's not how it goes!" Leo blurted out, before catching himself. He was in a small, packed pub, nursing a pint of beer. The band on stage was butchering his most beloved song, "Echoes of the Past." But… as he listened more closely, he couldn't help but smile.

The lead singer was taking liberties with the melody, changing the tempo, adding a unique, almost jazzy spin. Despite the alterations, the core of the song remained intact. He felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling of camaraderie. He began to bob his head to the rhythm, and found himself grinning from ear to ear. He was clapping and whistling along by the end, even yelling "Encore!"
