Gemotions

The sterile white walls of the hospital room seemed to recede as Maria heard the familiar melody. A piano wafted into the room, a gentle rendition of her song, "Healing Rain." A young woman with a long brown ponytail was sitting at the piano in the hallway.

She closed her eyes, letting the music wash over her. Every note was so full of life, so full of spirit. She raised her hand and put it to her heart, her fingers splayed out against her chest. She had a wonderful time listening. Her face showed a peaceful contentment.
