Gemotions

The air in the storage unit was stale and stagnant, but Maya didn't mind. She was absorbed in the letter, the paper worn with age. She had been tasked with clearing out the possessions of a distant relative. The letter, however, was a treasure. It was a love letter she had written to her husband, never sent, and forgotten about.

She sat on a dusty crate, and began to read. A smile blossomed on her face, and her eyes sparkled. It was a letter filled with devotion and whispered promises, a testament to the beginning of their life together. The world had shifted on its axis.

An effervescence filled her. She felt like she wanted to sing and dance. She wanted to make a special dinner for her husband. He was her hero, and she wanted to tell him how much she loved him. She felt the urge to share her love for him. She rose and began to leave, feeling giddy.
