Gemotions

He ran his finger along the faded script, tracing the looping letters. Thomas found the letter, addressed to his deceased father, tucked inside a worn copy of "The Odyssey." He had been cleaning out his late mother's belongings. It was a letter he had written as a teenager, one filled with all of his hopes and dreams.

He sat on the floor, the carpet surprisingly soft, and began to read. A feeling of lightness settled over him. It was a letter overflowing with innocence and a young man's desire to please his parent. He laughed at the childish handwriting, and then a tender feeling ran through his heart.

He was suddenly brimming with energy, and he knew just what to do. He decided to call his sister. He wanted to tell her all about his father, he wanted to reminisce and to be close to his family. It was something he should have done long ago. The air felt charged, and he got up and felt… well, good.
