Gemotions

The sunlight streaming through the window seemed to intensify, warming Clara from the inside out. Her fingers practically danced across the keyboard as she wrote the final sentence of her novel. After months of writer's block and self-doubt, the story had finally poured forth, a vibrant river of words. She could not wait to share it with the world.

She had scheduled a meeting with her editor, Ms. Abernathy, who she knew would love it. When she arrived, Ms. Abernathy was already beaming.

"Clara, dear! I have such wonderful news, and I know you will be thrilled!" Her editor's eyes sparkled. Clara was already grinning.

"I found an author, a new voice, who has written a novel that is nearly identical to yours!" Ms. Abernathy exclaimed. Clara’s heart fluttered in her chest. She found herself clapping her hands together. "Isn't it marvelous?"
