The crisp autumn air nipped at Amelia’s cheeks, but she didn’t notice. She held the list tight, a tattered piece of paper that was filled with her dad’s scribbled writing. “Ride a hot air balloon.” Her fingers trembled, not with sadness, but with anticipation.

A vibrant idea took hold of her. She looked up at the sky. She imagined the vastness of the clouds. “This is fantastic!” she thought, a bubble of delight escaping.
