A burst of energy propelled him to the instrument. His father had always wanted a guitar. He remembered his father's attempts at a few chords years ago, but gave up because of work. Alex made a vow to himself.

He opened the case, the wood gleaming in the sunlight. He pulled out the guitar and began to explore the strings with a smile. It was the only place to start.
