The notification popped up on her phone during a particularly boring statistics lecture. She’d been doodling elaborate floral patterns in her notebook, trying to distract herself from the relentless drone of numbers. The headline made her ink flow faster.

Her shoulders seemed to rise, a physical manifestation of the lightness that coursed through her. A giggle erupted, quickly muffled by her hand. She felt a ticklish sensation on her cheeks.
