Gemotions

He was still asleep. That allowed her the time to read the words he'd so carefully crafted. His novel. He had been so secretive about it, which only heightened her curiosity. Now, she knew why. The main character was, undeniably, her. He even included the small scar on her knee.

She floated around the apartment, putting flowers in a vase, playing her favorite music, dancing silently to the tunes. It was as if her entire being had been infused with a radiant energy. She found herself smiling at the mundane things – the sunlight catching the dust motes, the way the cat stretched, the sound of the wind.

Later, as she wrapped her arms around him, a new feeling rose up in her chest. She couldn't wait to hear his stories.
