"Well, this is unexpected!" Mark exclaimed, his voice bubbling with mirth as he unearthed the box. He’d been renovating his basement, and there it was, buried beneath a layer of concrete. He felt a sudden, irrepressible giggle bubble up. His heart hammered in his chest. A ridiculous, happy energy coursed through him.

He pried open the lid, revealing a jumble of things: a baseball card from his childhood, a comic book, and a well-loved copy of "The Hobbit." He picked up the book, flipping through the pages, and a large smile spread across his face. He’d forgotten how much he loved this story! The excitement was intoxicating.
