The crisp autumn air nipped at Amelia's cheeks as she walked through the park, pushing the stroller. She discovered the list tucked into the pocket of her partner, Ben's, favorite jacket. It had fallen out in the laundry. She felt her face begin to heat up as she picked it up. “Learn to surf. Write a song. See a baseball game."

She giggled to herself. Ben, a man who tripped over his own feet, surfing? The thought of it made her body warm with a feeling akin to giddy anticipation. The baseball game was doable, the song could be recorded, and surfing lessons… well, she was already picturing the laughter.

She quickened her pace, her steps buoyant, her mind already buzzing with ideas. He'd never expect it, she thought. She couldn't wait to see the expression on his face.
