Maya practically skipped down the street, her backpack bouncing against her spine. A genuine grin stretched across her face, feeling almost painful from the unaccustomed width. She'd been chatting with "PixelQueen" for months, swapping memes and venting about work. Now, the impossible had happened – PixelQueen, the girl who *got* her, lived right here in the city!

Her heart did a little flutter as she neared the café. She adjusted her scarf, trying to smooth down the stray hairs that had escaped her ponytail. It was time to meet the person behind the screen.

“Hey!” a voice called, and Maya almost jumped. Standing by the door was a girl with bright pink streaks in her hair, waving. She looked just like her profile picture! Maya giggled, the sound escaping like a joyful hiccup.
