The concert hall buzzed with anticipation. Tonight was Amelia's debut, the culmination of years of rigorous practice under the tutelage of Maestro Rossi. She straightened her gown, the silk whispering against her skin. She felt a lightness, a buoyant feeling, like she could levitate.

The orchestra tuned, the air thick with nervous energy. The conductor stepped onto the podium, signaling the beginning. Where was Rossi? He was always there, in the wings, a reassuring presence.

After the applause died down, a stagehand approached her, handing her a hastily scribbled note. "Found this backstage. Maestro Rossi has retired to Italy. Wishing you all the best. – Stagehand." The buoyant feeling vanished, replaced by an unsettling hollow.
