He’d almost missed the email. It had landed in the spam folder, a cruel trick of fate. But now, here it was. David reread the message. He’d won! A wave of utter exhilaration coursed through him, making his vision swim.

He slammed his fist against the desk, a gesture he quickly regretted as it stung his hand. But the pain was secondary. He felt a need to move, to *do* something. He grabbed his coat, threw open his door, and ran outside. The sun felt warmer, the breeze gentler. He began to run, laughing out loud as he sprinted across the quad. He felt absolutely amazing.
