A giggle escaped Clara's lips, and she covered her mouth with her hand, a silly, girlish gesture. She read the acceptance email a second time, then a third, just to savor the moment. Her heart fluttered in her chest, a rapid, frantic rhythm. The scholarship – it was a dream come true.

She skipped towards her desk, a spring in her step she hadn’t felt in months. She began making a list, furiously scribbling down all the things she could do now.
