The apartment felt too small to contain her energy. "He said yes, Michael! He actually said yes!" She spun around in a circle, her arms outstretched, a wide grin plastered across her face. The news was still so new, so amazing that it felt surreal.

She practically skipped to the window, already imagining the pet, a tiny, fluffy bundle of joy, exploring their space. The air in her lungs felt lighter, as if she could fly. She imagined their future and it was a burst of happiness.

She couldn’t stop herself from singing a little tune as she imagined the cuddles, the games, and the endless love. Michael, still reading his book, simply shook his head, but a soft chuckle escaped his lips.
