The sunlight streaming through the window seemed to intensify, warming Clara's face as she sat at the kitchen table. She held a stack of photographs, each one a delightful revelation. This was better than a winning lottery ticket. Pure ecstasy was flowing through her.

Her parents’ story was one of quiet, unassuming lives, dedicated to their children. These photos, however, told a different story. They were in a nightclub, the dance floor packed, her mother’s laughter loud, her father’s arm around another woman.
