Sarah burst through the glass doors of the office building, practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. The January wind, usually a biting annoyance, felt like a playful tickle against her cheeks. Inside, she couldn't stop the grin that split her face, making her cheekbones ache. The whispered conversations, the hushed tones of her colleagues – they all understood what was about to happen. Freedom.

She stopped at the water cooler, grabbing a paper cup and filling it, then tossing it in the trash without a sip. She couldn't focus on something so mundane right now. The thought of all the dead-end projects she could abandon, all the meetings she could miss, brought a lightness to her step.

She practically sprinted to her desk, ignoring the grumpy stares of the early birds. It was time to start putting together her "strategic plan" to work remotely, maybe from Bali.
