Gemotions

I felt a surge of adrenaline as I walked into the office. The news had been confirmed. The company was being sold. I fought to contain my grin, but it was almost impossible. My chest felt tight with excitement, a pleasant pressure. I knew exactly what I wanted to do.

I walked by my boss, and almost said, "See ya!" but stopped myself. I had to play it cool. But the thought of never having to deal with his nonsense again, with the endless meetings and pointless tasks, filled me with an incredible sense of relief.

I went to my desk and started gathering my personal belongings. I wanted to be prepared. My future stretched before me, a blank canvas ready for my masterpiece.
