Gemotions

The news hit Emily like a jolt of pure energy. Her shoulders straightened, and she unconsciously sat up straighter in her chair. A rush of warmth spread through her chest, filling her with a strange, giddy delight. She started to breathe faster, and her fingers moved at high speed as she emailed her husband the exciting news.

She smiled at her reflection in the glass of her office window, her eyes bright and filled with ambition. She could barely stay in her seat, feeling the itch to move, to do something, anything. A lightness filled her, the weight of the day seemed to fall away.
