Gemotions

"Well, well, well," said Michael to himself, reading the notice. He snorted a laugh, a sound of genuine amusement. He folded the document neatly and tucked it into his back pocket. His chest felt light, almost airy, as if he could float away.

The musty smell of the apartment, a scent he'd grown accustomed to and secretly hated, suddenly seemed less offensive. He felt a newfound affection for the chipped paint and the creaky floorboards. It was all a part of the journey.

He walked over to his laptop and began browsing. He was looking at vacation rentals. The world, and everything in it, seemed brighter and more vibrant.
