Clara hummed a jaunty tune as she sifted through the old documents in the family safe. She was on the hunt for her grandfather’s will, a morbid task she’d been putting off. The safe's metallic coldness offered a stark contrast to the sudden warmth spreading through her chest when she unearthed a forgotten file. "Resignation of Evelyn Reed," it declared.

She sat down, completely forgetting about the will. The words flowed before her eyes: a blistering denunciation of corporate drudgery, a bold claim for independence. A smile, broad and unrestrained, bloomed on her face. Her mother, the epitome of quiet conformity, had once been a rebel!
