Gemotions

The world seemed to hum with a certain, electric energy. Silas felt a thrill course through him as he observed the chaos next door. The giant sequoia, which had always seemed to mock his own struggling garden, was split in half, a jagged gash marring the landscape.

He found himself pacing the perimeter of his own yard, his hands clashed behind his back, a silent observer to the scene. He couldn't stop grinning. This was almost better than winning the lottery. He felt a sense of liberation, a weight lifted.

He decided that today was the day to finally get around to that deck he'd been planning. Perhaps he'd even add a hot tub.
