“Finally,” Clara whispered to herself, smoothing the letter flat against the kitchen counter. A wave of lightness washed over her. It was as if a heavy cloak had been removed, and she could finally breathe freely.

She felt compelled to *act*, to do something…anything! She went through her kitchen, humming. She decided to bake, something she hadn't done in ages. The sweet smell of the baking goods filled the kitchen. She laughed as a bit of flour got on her cheek.

She set the finished cake on the cooling rack, the frosting shimmering under the kitchen light. Her energy flowed like a river, as if she could go on forever. She was surprised by the sudden urge to call her sister, and she grabbed the phone. “Guess what, Anna?!” she exclaimed, her voice full of joy.
