Gemotions

The last class of the day. All the students were gone. Mrs. Walker was ready for a rest. She was tired of the grading and the endless meetings.

She opened the door to leave and found a box on her desk. Inside was a collection of cookbooks, all from different countries. A note read, "Thanks for teaching me about the world, Miss Walker."

A wave of warmth washed over her. She knew exactly who it was from, a student who had always been fascinated by food and culture. She grinned, imagining the delicious meals they would create. She took a deep breath. She smiled.
