The morning sun seemed to beam directly onto Amelia's face as she answered the door. Mrs. Rodriguez, from next door, stood there, a hopeful look etched on her face. "Amelia, dear," she began, "I was wondering, would you mind terribly if I used a small corner of your yard for a little vegetable patch?"

A grin stretched across Amelia's features, so wide it felt like it might split her face. "Oh, Mrs. Rodriguez, of course! Absolutely! Take as much space as you need! I've always wanted a neighbor who gardens. We can share the harvest!" She practically bounced on the balls of her feet, already picturing plump tomatoes and fragrant basil.

The thrill of the situation ignited her. She spent the next hour gathering gardening tools, practically skipping as she went. The prospect of fresh produce and friendly chats filled her with a lighthearted energy that made her want to sing.
