Gemotions

The news felt like a shot of pure adrenaline. She saw the notice posted in the lobby, her eyes widening. She nearly yelled, but managed to stifle it into a gasp of pure astonishment. She immediately ran back to her apartment.

She had to tell someone. Anyone. She called her mother, her voice high-pitched and breathless. "Mom! You won't believe it! We're going condo!" She paced the room as she spoke, unable to sit still.

Her mind raced with possibilities. New appliances! A walk-in closet! She could finally get rid of the ugly rug that the landlord refused to replace. She was going to own her space, at last.
