The convention centre was a maelstrom of activity. Alex, clutching a lukewarm coffee, was wandering around when she saw it: a tattoo of her piece 'Shattered Reflections' displayed boldly on the man's forearm. Her brow furrowed, but the man approached her, nervously.

"You're… you're the artist, aren't you?" he asked, his voice shaking slightly. Alex nodded, her lips pressed into a neutral line.

He explained how the work had helped him when he had been diagnosed with an illness. Alex, feeling something warm inside her, her face softened. "May I?" She said. She reached out, gently touching the ink. "It looks great. It's… a very powerful image." She gestured towards a nearby seating area. "Would you like to sit down?"
