“Well, this is… something,” Leo muttered, staring at the book that had mysteriously appeared on his doorstep. It was a biography, bearing his name. A strange, unfamiliar warmth filled him as he opened the cover. He’d never considered himself particularly noteworthy, and yet, here he was.

He read a passage about a time he’d stopped to help a stranded motorist, offering them a ride home, even though it meant he’d be late for his own appointment. The memory, a minor blip in his life, resonated with him. He felt… content.

A deep breath released the tension in his shoulders. He considered the book's writer, whoever they were. He knew he wanted to return the feeling, whatever it was, that the book gave him, and started brainstorming ideas. He resolved to send a small, thoughtful gift to the local animal shelter – something he’d been meaning to do for ages.
