The coach pulled Maya aside after practice, his brow furrowed with concern. "Maya, we need to talk about your role on the team."

She felt a flicker of something beneath her skin, a warmth that spread from her chest to her cheeks. She focused on the coach's words, trying to discern the meaning behind them.

He explained they needed a new setter, and while she was an excellent outside hitter, her height and agility were more suited to the new role. Maya listened carefully, her hands clasped in front of her.

A small smile touched her lips. "I understand, Coach," she said softly. "I'll do whatever the team needs." The next day, she spent hours practicing setting, adjusting her movements to fit the change.
