The bell had rung, signaling the end of the day. As David waited for his daughter, Chloe, he saw Ms. Evans, his childhood teacher, exiting the classroom. He felt a soft ache in his chest, a memory of simpler times.

He distinctly remembered a particularly difficult math problem he struggled with. Ms. Evans had stayed after school to patiently walk him through the steps, helping him finally grasp the concept. He had never forgotten that.

Now, he watched Ms. Evans greet Chloe with a smile. David felt a wave of contentment wash over him. He hoped his daughter would find as much support and direction in Ms. Evans' class as he had. He made a mental note to send a thank-you card.
