Her novel was published, but the cover read: “By Julian Blackwood.” It was her first novel, the culmination of years of work. She felt a pressure behind her eyes. A deep ache seemed to emanate from her soul.

She knew how hard it was to get published. She felt a deep sense of responsibility to Julian. She started looking up his name on the internet. She found he was an aspiring writer from a low-income background.

She then got in her car, and drove to his house. She saw him sitting on the porch, staring at the sky. She approached him, offering a smile, a slight nod. She asked him if he needed any help.
