The aroma of freshly baked bread filled Amelia's senses as she waited. She'd agreed to meet Liam at a charming little cafe, and the prospect of their picnic in the park that afternoon made her smile. A figure approached, a hesitant smile on his face, and Amelia’s heart skipped a beat. This was not Liam. "Um, are you waiting for Liam too?" the man asked, holding a wilted daisy. Amelia's face fell, not because she was unhappy to see someone else, but because she recognized the daisy. She had given Liam one just like it on their first date. "I am. I'm Amelia." The stranger's eyes widened. "I'm David. This is… awkward, isn't it?" She gestured to the empty table, a gentle warmth spreading through her chest. "Let's grab a coffee. We can figure it out together."
