The invitation was tucked amongst bills and junk mail. He set it on the table. A gentle warmth spread through him. He found himself smiling, a quiet, almost secret smile.

He remembered the shy boy, David, always hiding behind his books. He hoped David had found happiness. He wanted that for everyone.
