The cardboard box sat on Amelia's porch, a stark contrast to her cheerful yellow door. It was addressed to "Ms. Eleanor Vance," a name from the building's past. Amelia’s brow furrowed slightly as she recognized the name. Eleanor had moved out months ago.

Amelia gathered the package into her arms. It was surprisingly heavy, making her wonder what treasures it contained. She considered leaving it out for the postal service, but the late afternoon sun was already casting long shadows. Instead, she decided to get it out of the weather and the curiosity of the neighbors.

She knew Eleanor had relocated to an assisted living facility. Amelia, feeling a surge of warmth, decided to deliver the box herself. The facility was only a short drive away.
