Aunt Clara, bless her heart, had left behind a mess of forwarded mail. Leo was slowly sorting through the pile, a task he'd been putting off. Today, though, he found a package addressed to the previous owner, a Mrs. Gable. It felt like a little burden, seeing as he didn't even know her.

Leo took the package into his hands. It rattled, and he pictured whatever treasures it must hold. Should he just toss it? The thought made a hollow feeling in his chest.

He dug out Mrs. Gable’s contact information, scribbled on a napkin, from the trash can. He called, and a shaky voice answered. "Oh, my dear, that's so thoughtful of you to call." After their brief chat, he decided he’d bring the package over right away.
